mine was when my Dad took a shovel of 'fire' from the grate and put it in the fireplace in my bedroom where the patterns of the fire danced on the ceiling, new PJs, a hot water bottle in my bed (no leccy blankets then) this was on Christmas Eve after I had been out Carol singing with my Church
magical, lovely memories

Christmas Eve - snuggled under the blankets in bed, watching the firelight fom a real fire, listening to the jingle bells in the hallway (dad playing Santa), and desperately trying to go to sleep because I knew 'HE' wouldn't come until I was in the Land of Nod. Happy days.
