I see places of worship are open and I worship my daily rum.

I hope there is a shop open somewhere where I can buy a length of rope and some razor blades.

I bet life is easier in North Korea.

As far as I am aware there is no prohibition on the sale of alcohol from supermarkets during the lockdown so SparklyKid can easily nip down to the local Spar for a loaf of bread and a bottle of rum.

sparkly rum (also rope and razorblades) are readily available online. What is so hard about sitting at home in the warm?
it probably isn't sparkly, better in NK, its a totalitarian regime, where the leader just bumps off those he doesn't like, even family not sure about now, but certainly has done in the past.

I never imagined I would live in a police state.
we don't believe it or not. The police only have so many powers, and don't always use the ones they do have,

Hi emmie, perhaps the £200 fines will offset the eat out to help out cost.
can you go out for a walk, see a mate perhaps, or stay at home and keep warm as suggested - not a police state yet. There are many who are not abiding by any of these laws, that is just the way of it, can't police 65 million of us, no one can -
From December,

'[North Korea] has admitted it is facing “multiple crises” due to the pandemic, as well as a spate of natural disasters last summer, and US-led sanctions.

Last week, KCNA said the country had imposed “top-class emergency measures” in Pyongyang, including the closure of restaurants and other public places, and restrictions on people’s movements around the capital.'

Its nothing like that. A bet most people would prefer the police to be more active than they are. Even at the demos the police just stood by and they certainly arent going to look through your window to see how many people are visiting you or stop you to ask where your going- unlike in some countries with curfews and permits needed
///I never imagined I would live in a police state. ///

Dramatic, much?

I don't think there will be lines of tooled-up Police blocking the highways and byways of Hambleton....
do what you think is right sparkly, - no one will know if you do something that you are not supposed to do.. who is going to grass you up if you see two mates instead of just one, no one will care, only you mate.

Hi JTH of BLACKPOOL, lol.
Yes, we don't have any hordes of Police Officers pushing us all back indoors here in BLACKPOOL, either....
nor in the capital, i might add... though its very quiet around here of late.

You were first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your rum isn't essential. Cigarettes are not essential, My overdue manicure isn't, people are dying , the NHS is being overwhelmed but you want people to tell you being selfish, and thoughtless is ok.
I really don't understand unless you are just trying to antagonize people for the sake of it.
morning Mr Sparkle, just think of the good things you have , tick the boxes, a lovely wife, a nice family , a nice home, a good income with a good pension, good health, the list goes on, we have loads to be grateful for
