On 13/02.05 I posted a question as to why this very popular Radio 4 programme was not available on the listen again schedule.   I had two helpful responses from Andy Hughes & Brachiopod.

I subsequently lodged a FOI request which was rejected by Ms. Chris Burns (Executive Editor General Factual) on the basis that "information about BBC programmes is not covered by the Act" and confirming that "there is no dispute between the BBC and any of the rights holders concerned".

Yesterday afternoon Mark Thompson the Director General of the BBC was asked by the H of L select committee on the review of the BBC charter whether the BBC was within the remit of the FOI and gave an unqualified "yes" is reply.

I can ask for an internal review of the refusal and draw the select committees attention to the correspondence but surely someone out there knows what the reason is.  Cough up!!
