Ricky Gervais Golden Globes jokes?

Ricky Gervais came in for a lot of stick for his jokes at the Golden Globes, but did he actually write the jokes that he made or was there a group of writers working on the script and he simply delivered the lines?

I thought he wrote his own stuff - and even if someone else wrote it, a bit of good taste would have stopped me from delivering those lines.

I think he writes his own.

Ricky's live reputation stands on his willingness to sacrifice some sacred cows, and in Holywood, there are herds of them waiting to be shot at!

I think the first year he was seen as fresh and edgy, this year somewhat over the top, and the perceived wisdom, including RG - is that there will probably not be a third year for him.

I've since seen it on youtube and the lines are delivered in his usual way so maybe he did write them himself. If so then he's still got it, that biting wit.
