Help! I've got all this long grey horrible hair....

.. coming out the exhaust of my car. It's happened 4 times now. At first I thought it was my Daniel Spaniel playing one of his tricks on me, then I thought the exhaust must have sucked up a very long-haired rodent. What the hell is it? It's long, grey & black, very silky. It's freaky.

I would post this in motoring, but people there would think I'm mad. Whereas you lot already know I am. But this is happening for real...... Any ideas?

You need a new muffler on your exhaust.

It sounds like you need a new exhaust system, I think what you are seeing is the stuff that reduces the noise, it should be contained within the silencer section but that is obviously deteriorating and allowing this hair like substance to be blown out through the exhaust.
