When I got my new computer somehow I lost all my songs from the old itunes library. My friend has a vast library so am updating my ipod on hers. Can I charge my ipod on my new apple computer without losing the songs. If so, how do I do this?

Thanks for your help.

You just plug it in as normal but make sure your settings are set to give you the choice to sync the IPOD. Once you have plugged the Ipod in the option to sync will come up and you can click yes or shut the window.
Just make sure the settings have been changed BEFORE you plug the Ipod in otherwise it will sync automatically and all will be lost

Thanks Greedyfly, will give it a go, worst scenario is that I lose it all and I shall then have to go and get it downloaded at my friends again. Presume I just say no when it says sync.

Yes. I would give you complete directions but I do not have itunes on this computer so can't step by step it for you. If you get stuck just give it a google. =)
