You could try checking the Radio Times archive for what was scheduled that night in August.  If you've no luck online, your local library may keep copies of RT in its vaults, depending on space.  Failing that, the BBC would have archive hard copies.

 thanks for the advice 221b,i have looked on line,but no luck. the question was one i needed for a pub quiz that had to be in last sun,so think willl just wait for the answer now. i will post it when i know in case anybody else needs it in the future!!! thanks again.
