........after all these years.....thankyou Nickripple.  My (American) hubbie swears there were NEVER two guitar-playing girls.  I knew I wasn't dreaming!  They sang "I like to be in America..". Phew.

They were introduced as The Sour Grapes Bunch.

Not the Sour Grapes Tony. They were the gang of girls next door who always came and 'beat up/outsmarted' the Bananas.
