I watched this film last night but I was a bit confused with the ending. Can someone enlighten me please?

which bit was you confused about?

David Gale never killed the woman, even though there appeared to be evidence to say so. It proved that innocent people could be killed on death row.

The video at the end, showed that the woman (can't remember her name) did it herself, but David & Dusty were there also .... so to say that it was all planned??!! to prove there cause that innocents are killed.
