Horror Movie - Group Of People In Old House All Night

Hi can anyone tell me the film. A group of 8 people or so get locked in a house over night. I think most of them die. I am sure that it was an old assylum or something. There was something like a gas chamber in it. Was there a sequel to it? Or did scarey movie do a copy?

I think I know which one you mean although I can't remember the name of it, if it is what I am thinking of it ends up a bit like the big brother house instead of getting evicted they got killed and the last man had set it up, even the policeman was in on it, let me know if it is the one you mean.

Sounds like the aforementioned "The House on Haunted Hill" (the 1999 remake) which was spoofed in "Scarier Movie" and had a sequel in 2007 called "Return to House on Haunted Hill".
