I have BT Vision and I have no Signal for ITV, channel 5 & 4 at all, not even that "knitted" picture you sometimes get! Anyone know why and how long it's going to last?

For the purpose of receiving terrestrial TV broadcasts, a BT Vision box is simply a Freeview set top box.

My posts here are therefore relevant to your situation:

We have Freeview and have lots of trouble with bad pixillated screen, even when the weather is still, no wind etc. Had two aerial guys round here, tried disconnecting the DVD, still get problems, think it might be where we live ... in a bit of a 'dip' with lots of trees all around. Is yours better now Nelly ?? I just think we will have to live with it ..
