He was part of a successful conspiracy to plant bombs on an aeroplane. It crashed killing 76 people. He has found sanctuary in the USA.
His name is Luis Posada Carriles and the plane he attacked was Cuban.
Terrorism seems to be acceptable to the USA if the victims come from a regime they don't like.

East Timor is Now independant and Tony Blair went to on a visit to congratulate them

I agree with you. Usually difference between freedom fighter or Hero and a terrorist is very slight. Nelson Mandela was once a terrorist too but then he won nobel for peace.
when they do not have a political mandate from the people in what they do
anyone could bomb and shoot and claim they fight for freedom.Northern Ireland had 30 years of it encouraged by the left wing .No there is supposed peace but some still think have to right to go against the will of the people who want an end to it .They are terrorist too
