Paul O'grady always says "join me live at five on four" but the show must be pre-recorded as on tonights show when they went into the comercial break the announcer said coming up next Vernon Kay and they showed a trailer of him talking about Sheri Hewson.
When Vernon Kay came on 5 minutes later he said exactly the same thing about Sheri Hewson so how can the show be live?

They do a rehearsal
I haven't watched it for ages. How are Buster and Olga?
It isn't live. Paul O'Grady only works at the studios once or twice a week, and, like a lot of telly shows, they record more than one in a day. I haven't seen it for ages myself, but they used to have out takes, and how can you have out takes when it's live?
Forgot to say, the best example I know of for this "deceit" was a few years ago. Anthony Worrel thomson was in the jungle doing I'm a celebrity, yet on the Saturday, he hosted Saturday kitchen supposedly live.
It definitely isn't live.Whenever John Barrowman is a guest on the show there is a notice on his website. It gives the date the show will be transmitted and the date it will be recorded, which is always a few days before.
Also I was watching an interview with John Barrowman the other week,I think on Digitalspy, and he took the Tcamera on a tour backstage at La Cage Aux Folles. In the Cagelles dressing room they had Barrowman on the Paul O'Grady Show on TV in the background.
When they say a show is live they mean recorded in front of a live audience not broadcast live.....
Dimlos
Except Craft :-)
Forgive me for being literal, but if something is said to be live then I take it to mean it is broadcast live not recorded and then the video played. That is not live.
I wouldn't like to watch a programme recorded in front of a dead studio audience.
And what does dimlos mean?
Paul O' Grady show is recorded the day before it's televised
marwel I'm sorry if you didn't appreciate the 'live' audience answer...........this was the explanation given by ITV with regards to a query concerning another 'live' programme.....
Then ITV need to consult a dictionary.I'm sure the BBC would not be allowed to get away with such a loose definition after all the controversy of recent years.
