After the dire programmes on terrestrial TV the last few years - getting worse by the year - which programmes would YOU put on?

a new episode of Friends Christman special
I would like a TV free day...... Oh I already have one courtesy of the off switch. It's a long tradition in our house. And as it's my birhday my rules apply !!
*christmas*
Banana Splits Show

happy birthday naomi
My Mum also has her birthday on Christmas Day.
The one day she can claim the remote-control.............and there's sweet fanny Adams to watch :o)
Oh Alba I meant it's my birthday on Christmas day but I will hold onto your good wishes til then.
son is Boxing Day

Would they please stop showing the "Family Film" Chitty Chitty, etc, you know the ones!
so Naomi........does your mother celebrate Christmas?
I'm not bothered by anything that's on during the day as we, the family, don't sit down and watch TV, but when I'm home in the evening with my expandable waist jammies (usually new!) and my box of sweeties (like I haven't eaten enough already), I'd like there to be 2 great movies on back to back and if they're on ITV, for them to give us the gift of no advert interruptions for the evening :o)
Craft... my mum loved Christmas and said I was her best present ever !
My Mum (sorry Mum) will be 70 this year..............and has only had ONE birthday cake in her life.

How do you juggle the birthday/Christmas Day thing, Naomi ?
Christmas in morning then at 3pm it officially becomes MY BIRTHDAY and I get to open cards and presents whilst everyone else pays me all the attention . It has always been that way apart from one year when I tried a birthday in June but I hated it so went back to Christmas Day. I dont have birthday cake and really dont miss it but I do have separate Christmas and Birthday presents no joint presents allowed.
Excellent !
More or less what my Mum has. She's never had 'joint' presents, either.
Her 21st birthday cake was the only cake decorated for her birthday that she has ever had.
My neice also has a Christmas birthday and for a couple of years her parents tried the 'half-birthday' on June 25th. It meant that she could have a party where her school-friends were sure to attend.........but it fizzled out.

And trying to find cards with 'Happy Birthdayn ow you're 6 and a half', was a bu@@er :o)
Hey Addie give us a reply.....What do you do for your Mum on her birthday.
Sorry replies crossed in the ether.
My birthdays smack bang in middle of year. My blokes brother and niece are on xmas day and his grandad boxing day and his sis new years day. lol. gets quite expensive
my son likes his Boxing Day...is at the age when it's money for Xmas and Birthday, then January sales.
His brother is August, slap bang in holiday season and is put out by his brother's spending power lol
Be great to see alll the old ones i grew up with......................Land of the Giants, The Time Tunnel, Star Trek, Lost in Space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, etc

Only fools, porridge, fawlty towers, etc are all on uk gold and others which is great too.

My youngest two love watching Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry.........and so do i, when i have a chance.
At the risk of cross-posting, again............

1. We wish her a Happy Birthday and she opens her cards.
2. We all wish each other a Happy Christmas; hugs kisses, etc.
3. We all open our Christmas presents.
4. Christmas Dinner is prepared by A. N. Other than Mum. She's rarely cooked Christmas Dinner herself.
5. Christmas Dinner is eaten followed by loyal toast to the Queen.
6. Mum opens her presents..........it is now her birthday.
Albaqwerty, Banana Splits show season one is out on dvd, as saw it this morning in WH spliff!

love the bear xx
