Was the song "Come What May" written especially for Moulin Rouge or is it a cover like the rest of the songs in the film? If the latter, who performed it orginally?

According to IMDB David Baerwald composed "Come What May" in 2001 which would mean that it was original music http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0046412/

Never seen the film, but a song called Come What May won Eurovison for Vicky Leandros - Greek but representing Luxembourg - in 1972.

different song I'm afraid.  The Eurovision song was written by Mario Panas, Klaus Munro & Yves Dessca & the lyrics are different.
