you dont have read about it or watch it
Well said gina32. Those 2 words should be all that needs to be said
You don't have to read about or watch it.

What a silly statement, as it has been rammed down our throats now for weeks and can't be avoided.
RIP Jade my thoughts go to her family and her lovely sons.
Yes, she was a pain in the proverbial at times, but she was still a mother and and a loving one. She made thousands of people aware of her condition and the foolishness of ignoring the warnings. May she rest in peace.
It is of course sad that Jade has now passed away, her legacy was to raise awareness of cervical cancer. That said I disagree with the way in which we were deluged with Jade's life 24-7, especially as the publicist who like her family will reap the monetary benefits has now give up on the media circus or for at least the time being.
My heart and sympathies lie with real working class people afflicted with all forms of cancer who can only dream of the help and support Miss Goody got. No free wedding dresses worth thousands, no free luxury holidays for them, that's were true sadness lies!
well said Driftwood
I second that postdog

postdog, you see the name jade, you dont like it as you know whats coming, switch off/ over, turn the page, easy!
Didn't like her, but felt for her , and thinking now of her sons, but I do think it is a bit rich that the publicity now is upsetting her mother and that she is appealing for some privacy. My thinking is that most of the past couple of months should have been private.
I feel desperately sad for Jade's two sons, and have done for weeks now. The media circus that has surrounded these two little chaps must be confusing for them. I think for the eldest son in particular - if you have watched any of the 'Jade' on living tv, the strain on that little boy's face says it all.

I really hope their little lives settle down a bit now and if I were in that family I would keep a close eye on the eldest son - the pain in his face says it all.

Rest in Peace Jade xx
Sorry but I really have to honest here.
I lost a friend to cancer and thousands of others are suffering in silence out there.
They get no attention and some times never recieve the help they need.
I don't care if she was leaching publicity for her sons. money will not replace their mother. She should have thought about them before she choose to ignore the letters asking her to return after the first suspect smear test.
I am completely indifferent to the whole thing but I am angry that a woman who only last year was on the recieving end of a very public verbal lynching suddenly is a saint.
No she isn't. She is /was until the last, a publicity junkie.
She did nothing in her life time except court contraversy.
The only reason she has ended up this way is because once again the publicity was more important to her than following up on a smear test. If she had she would not be dead now.
I am also quite amazed that so many women appear so shallow that they cannot look after themselves unless some celeb shows them how to.
Sad for her sons but I feel for many it will be an end to what has become a simple case of over kill.
And as postdog says the reason some people react with malice is because the media have over done it. She is not the only one that has died today, many other mother have as well.
I have to agree, Jade was in our faces 24/7 be it tv,magazines you name it. It must have been terrible for her in pain and knowing the end was near but as said, thousands suffer in silence and carry on bravely even little children. Like so many others here I lost my lovely mum to cancer but as hard as she fought it won. My heart goes out to Jades sons as they've lost their mum afterall. Im glad Jade is out of pain and now rests in peace.
Hollow words indeed .

She is dead -simple as that -she wont have the glorious joy of seeing her children grow up -she wont see her first grandchild -she quite simpy at the age of 27 has had her life torn away from her and even in the aftermath of her death people are bitching about her -makes me very sad -yes her passing makes me sad but the lack of humility from some makes me sadder.

Health and humility cant be bought -it has no price.
Not so Hollow Dris.
It comes from a society that is happy to reward some one who had only a year ago was a social outcast because she thought she was so big she could say what she liked. She found out the hard way just how quickly you can fall out of favour from a shallow society.
She got ill because she failed to go back to the Doctors and get it checked out. Once again her own want for the lime light was the reason.
We have had to indure every single step of this woman last days on this earth.
it might have not had such a negitive effect if she had actually done something positive with her life other than be a media junkie.
she had not talent. She did nothing but give the population some thing to laugh at. The media turned her into a laughing stock. her name was used as an insult.
And now we are expected to treat her like a hero. She was not brave. She is not the only person to have got cancer. She is not the only mother/ daughter to have died of it. Many have walked her path and they have done more for those around them. Nice people, helpful caring people.
It is far from hollow. It is a statement that society will reward you more for being some one like Jade Goody that being a good person.
Well put tigerlilly.
Well tiger had I said that, I'd have got lynched.

You have a wonderful way with words BTW - clear and to the point.
I am saddened to hear of the loss of a mother to two young boys, but i dont agree with the terms 'hero', and people comparing her to Princess Diana. I am sorry, but she didnt do anything with her life apart from keep OK magazine and Living TV in business.
Everyone seems to be forgetting that only a year ago she was being ripped to pieces by the press for being racist, and now she has died of cancer, everything changes and shes a saint. Its wrong.
My auntie died of cancer, and her kids did fine after she died, without having multimillion pound magazine deals to keep them going. My heart goes out to little Bobby and Freddie, i cant ever imagine losing my mother, and especially not at that age.
But dont get me started with Jack Tweed...
why is she being turned into a saint, with the media harping on about her doing so much for cancer awareness! she has done nothing at all for cancer awareness apart from die from cancer.

If the media had made such a fuss of any memeber of the public with cervical cancer then they would of made people just as aware.

She hasn't campaigned for better facilities or testing or anything like that and what she has done hasn't been to try and help others with the disease or stop others getting it, her actions were purely to line the pockets of her family and friends.

It is a shame that now 2 young boys are without their mother but i watched a programme about wendy richards and thought how awful it was that she had died and then heard jade had died adn my only thought was "at last".

As for Jeff Brazier he was on the news this morning saying what a wonderful person jade was and a fantastic mother, isn't it just recently he tried to get full custody of the boys because he was worried about their welfare.

on another note is Liam Neesons wife now going to become a saint and turned into a hero for highlighting the need to wear a helmet when skiing
