recently my sister mentioned a scene from a movie or series in which somebody was prodding the mouth of a corpse with a pen or similar implement, which made said corpse produce a set of vampire fangs from inside the upper gumbs, this sounded familiar, but cant think where i've seen it, any idea's.

Possibly and episode of CSI - one episode did feature goths and "vampires", and I am reasonably sure what you describe happened in that.
