I couldn't sleep last night. For some bizarre reason it suddenly entered my head that I didn't know what the real name is in EastEnders of the character Minty.

It matters not a jot, but I have to ask - anyone know? I'm sure I won't spend another restless night wondering, but just in case....

I looked this up for you.. "Richard "Rick" Peterson (better known by his nickname, Minty) is a fictional character in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. He is played by Cliff Parisi, and made his first appearance on 11 March 2002. His nickname was given to him because he was always late for work, turning up "after eight" when he was an apprentice mechanic."

The bloke I referred to on a post yesterday (about having to hose him down in the bath after a... Guinness 'accident' looked like Minty. Nice, funny, but gormless....

Surely he has been in it longer than 2002? He arrived as Phil's henchman, collecting debts and rent for him. Positive it was more than 7 years ago.
