this time of year. With the days getting milder, the nights getting lighter, things starting to push through in the garden, full of promise for the next few months. AND I think I just heard a skylark - which always reminds me of summer.

What time of year do you like? And why?

No Carrust! I just like the fact that the sun is out (or it was until a few minutes ago) and I have been out without wrapping up like I am doing a polar expedition and the garden is starting to spring to life. hearing a skylark just topped it all.

May and June are my favourite months in the UK. however if i go snowboarding then my favourite month will be December

Bramaid there are no seasons here as such and after 3 years here i guess i like the ocassional showers of rain here which are reminiscent of scotland though they are few and very far between.

i like the occasional warm days at this time of year.
saturday was gorgeous wasnt it! But i much prefer early summer.

May through to August mostly. For the warmth and the colour. And the not have to wear so many clothes (even though baggy jumpers do hide a multitude of sins..).

I just love the sunshine on my face & how it seems to put most people in a better mood.

I love spring....especially when the cherry blossoms start to flower. I love summer because you can just walk out the door in a vest...

Yes red, Sat was gorgeous, I got loads of gardening done and then went out for a play in the car.

Hope we get another nice one this weekend, I fancy a trip to the coast!

the first really hot day when you dont have to wear a coat anymore and you can smell the burning barbeques down the street and freshly cut lawns :-)

which coast do you head to from there, barmaid? I have only lived here for a couple of years and so I never know whats closest.

I head to Southwold, Red, that or Thorpe Ness. It's really really pretty round there.

Ahhhhh...the smell of new-mown grass...!!..
..funny-one of the things I miss about NY summers is the sound of cicadas (like crickets I think) in the trees on a hot summers day...almost soothing.
