I was undecided on whether I liked Fiona Bruce as the new presenter of The Antiques Roadshow, well not until today's programme. She was talking to a guy who had lost his Gt Uncle on the Titanic (the programme was coming from Harland and Wolf in Belfast.) He became somewhat emotional while talking about it,and Fiona stroked and patted his arm to comfor t him. She has quite captured me now!
I cannot remember when I last saw a TV presenter do something so unrehearsed and emotional.
Just thought I would pass my thoughts on to you.

Yes, i saw that Mr V, and i was quite touched. xx
I have not seen her on Antiques Roadshow...but I have always like her as a news presenter...good to hear about examples of spontaneous expressions of emotion...
Agree with that.

I've always liked Fiona Bruce for her warm and easy manner, she talks TO people, not AT them, as if she really wants to hear what they say, and has the charm to put them at ease from the beginning. A lovely girl.
