Oh yeah! I mean, all Decepticons were surely created evil on purpose by whoever built them and Megatron was in a tight spot, constantly clinging onto his leadership whilst fending off the Machiavellian Starscream and trying to crush the rather bland Autobots. It was a tough job! Were his actions "for the greater good"? He's similar in some ways to Edward the Confessor, the ambitious Starscream being his Harold Godwinson.
