twiddling with my hair

Yes, I twiddle my hair too, notably a bit of fringe, however I'm willing to bet I'm worse than you.

I twirl it round and round till its in a little knot, then unravel it and repeat endlessly. eventually the bit of hair will be kinked and stick straight up and if im going anyway I have to clip it back down to my head again.

Sleepy, I do it with mine when I am tired (in fact just noticed I was doing it).

And that's the flowing locks of hair on my head (and not facial hair before one of you ^^^ smart alecs comments!)

I don't think your wife is the only thumbsucker on here. It's more common than you think in adults... most of us (did I say us) most people who do, do it in private or secret or only when they're on their own.

it's actually very comforting. Especially when combined with hair twiddling or stroking soft fabric...

Yes - I wrap my hair round my finger until I get stuck! Takes me three times as long to untangle it then. : )
