Ear defenders at the ready for those of you who watch loose women(I dont) but Lesley Garrett will be on and bound to do that ridiculous wobbly screech that she seems to think expected of her every time she appears on any sort of chat show.Yes she can sing if you like that sort of voice but we dont need her showing off. Me too but i am alerting others LOL.
She was on the other day saying she had been suffering from a throat infection. Still didn't stop her doing it! Then she was on the radio as well and once again even her laughing was going up the octaves (if that is the correct expression lol).

Someone should tell her.
She is on everything at the moment because she is starring in a musical/operetta thingy. Can people never be invited on to chat shows just because they are interesting and have something to actually say other than promoting their latest book/show/film? They all follow each other on the round of chat shows and radio programmes and you get fed up of hearing the same old anecdotes trotted out.
You are right lankeela. You can just here their agents saying --we must book them on this and this and this for maximum publicity ( and dosh)
Patsyann I am glad I am not the only person who notices this - the woman is barking. At any opportunity she has to warble away, in the middle of a sodding interview, to let us know, in case we should ever forget, that she is an opera singer. If David Beckham was being interviewed he wouldn't get up midway thru and start doing keepy uppys, and I would doubt very much if Len Goodman suddenly lept up from his seat and burst into the foxtrot, so why does she feel the need?

Thinking about it now though it would make Parky really interesting.

I'm thinking if he was interviewing Gordon Ramsey who decides half way thru that he is going to make an omelette, or if Eminem started rapping all his answers....
She warbled!!!! and she admitted she can't help it.

I stood looking at her t hinking she reminded me of someone. Then it came to me............. She has the voice, accent and expressions of Hayley on Corrie!!

(But Hayley isn't annoying)
Yes, nat. I think we get the point....................

Natalie loved your reply. Oh that would make for some hilarious chat shows, especially if parky was still in the chair.
Wouldnt it be equally tiresome though, like the David Blaine/Eamonn Holmes interview for GMTV?

Mind you, Tom Bakers quote about Eamonn (and Fiona)was hilarious.

Apologies to lesblue for getting carried away. I will ensure it never ever happens again. I consider myself told.
What did Tom Baker say? I don't even know who he is?
I suppose you have to be a bit of a fan, but one of the funniest interviews I have read even though it is a few years old:
