I'd give it to a mate of mine, who, like Roy Castle, developed lung cancer and never smoked in his life.

He is constantly suffering from recurrent chest infections, and has to take antibiotics almost permanently, and can't work.

His life is basically sh1t but he doesn't complain.

I would give half to christies cancer hospital in manchester and the other half to the NSPCC.
I would probably give to local schools and small local groups as they often struggle to get their funding
My choice of charity would be Cancer and Leukemia in Children (CLIC)
I hate this pretentious program. Especially when the millionaires are told to reveal they are millionaires and then not say another word for 2 minutes. Obviously to focus on the reaction of the recipient. But this makes it look like it's a personal gift. "I'm actually a millionaire" 2 minutes later "And I'm giving you a cheque for 50 thousand pounds" five minutes later after tears. "For the charity bla bla bla"

If I had this kind of money I would make some decent programs for telly.
I'd put it all on the 2:30 at Kempton Park.
I would share it beween Dogs Trust and Cats Protection League.
I would give it to a lady I know who looks after foster kids. She gave me a home and looked after me and lots of other kids as a carer and she doesn't have much. It would make my day to do that as she gives so much and never expects anything in return.
If I had worked for it, I`d not give any of it away, but if I won or inherited a lot of money, then I`d give some away.
I probably would give any of it to a charity per se, but i would do a bob geldhof and go and make sure personally that somewhere benefitted from what I was giving. So you'd expect to see me oversseing the installation of wells in villages, self sustainable projects etc, because quite frankly having seen Oxfam's offices I'd never give them another penny and many other charities aren't much better.
I'd also give a wonderful girl called Kate ( my step son's gf) something as she looks after my youngest son who is in the autistic spectrum as if she were his mother. Truly wonderful girl.
