speaking words of wisdom let it be
maybe you could enlist help of family and do it as a group?
If it's fatal either way then you don't have a lot to lose.

except my life... my whole future....
Which accoring to your post will be lost if you don't confront mother. It's my belief that you can't lose a future since you don't yet possess it.
well without knowing what it is about, you have to envisage the result of your two scenarios (you confront/ you dont confront) and work out which would be the best for everyone in the long run

its kinda complicated. :-s
I think by using the word 'confront' you are seemingly taking the moral high ground, which is only going to bode ill for this ;'confrontation' , try to think impartially, suspend your emotions and listen to her point of view
If you need to talk to your mum, then just tell her you need to talk to her, never talk to anybody if you are annoyed because all you say will be angry words and not make sense, write down what you want to say, or at least make notes, but to me, if ever i needed to talk to my mum or dad, I spoke from the heart, say what you feel and how you feel, no good bottling things up, and as dot says "confront" is rather aggresive, just speak in a gentle voice, never get annoyed and the words will flow.
