ooh! I've just been to the sports section for the first time! It's all a bit too serious for me!

I just wondered how you go about having a little flutter on the grand national.

I've tried online but they all seem to be register only, and i don't really want to do that.

If I have to go in a bookies, I've no idea what to do!

yeah but what do I do when I get in there?
just get the runners online, pick your horse then go into the bookies.Go to the counter, tell them how much money you want to place and they will help you fill out a slip.Keep your receipt in case it wins.
have done sweep at work, I picked a horse for 2.50
Ask the man for a pint of milk and a loaf of bread!!!!

What do you think, tell the man what you want to bet on and he will help you fill in a form!!!

They're quite helpful in there.

most bookies have easy slips for the national now......ie...there will be a list of the horses running....fill the boxes in like a national lottery slip........say .1 ew and the horse you want........or find a blank slip and write the horses name and the amount you want on it.....hand it to the cashier and pay..... :-))
Luckily I know the people that work in my local bookies
Is it possible to put a bet on which horse will die first?
