tonight on emmerdale (wed 13th) they had some music playing in the background on the radio, a female voice does anyone know who or what the song is ?

Don't know if its the same episode - a track by Antony & the Johnsons from I Am A Bird Now was playing on the radio in one scene in Jo's house. It's not a female voice but it is quite high!
