Does anyone know what's going on with ITV3+ lately where they put a caption on screen stating that they're unable to broadcast the previous hour's ITV3 programme for legal reasons?

I've seen the caption before as have many of my friend's but the one I saw at 1222 should have been a repeat showing of a "Two Ronnies" episode for God's sake. I'm hard pressed to think of something more innocuous.

Sorry I dont know why gumboil, but its bloody annoying, I was going to watch Fifth element the other day on 1tv2+1 and it said it couldnt show it for legal reasons even though the woman annonced it 1 minute before!! Thats the second time I have seen that.

That's totally ridiculous mountainboo. I'm beginning to wonder if they've stopped paying Sky etc to broadcast their programmes - maybe they've pulled the plug on them!
It's because they do dot have the rights to show it. They may be allowed to show something on one channel, but even though the other channel is just a delayed repeat of the original showing, it would constitute a secondary showing, and if they don't have the rights to do that, then they can't show it.

BTW, is there an ITV3+1? - there isn't on freeview, only 2 and 2+1.

Thanks Postdog. It's just plain daft if that's the reason.

Yes, ITV3+1 is on Sky channel 185. I should have made clear it was Sky I was referring to.

Thanks.
