Has there been a storyline yet about why Les Battersby isn't in Corrie anymore?

Apparetly, he's away being a roadie for Status Quo (or somesuch) and he'll meet up with a woman and never return to the street.

This is to cover for the fact that Bruce Jones was sacked and they didn't have time to put together a leaving episode.....

Yes, he was sacked. A shame though, as i thought his character added a bit of humour and life to the programme.
