I don't normally watch Kim And Aggie but on this occassion I decided to follow on of their tips. The tip was to pour boils water from the kettle in to the alluminum sink, add a capful of bleech with some washing up liquid. Then put in you dish cloths and sponges. I did this leaving for a few hours. At first all seemed ok but now all the shine from my sink has gone and its looks really bad.

i know you never use bleach on enamel but don't know about aluminum
i don't like those two womens prog
common sense is all thats needed and chuck out your dishcloths use disposable ones
are you sure you didint mishear them? maybe they were saying its ok for a stainless steel sink?
Question Author
Yes it was stainless steel
Bleach is OK to clean stainless steel sinks with but not aluminium ones as it is too alkaline and will damage the aluminium.

If you are not sure if your sink is stainless steel or aluminium, try sticking a magnet to it, if it sticks, it is steel
