I never normally watch Emmerdale, but I saw a bit of it the other day when I was channel-hopping and looking for stuff on Teletext. Someone called Scott was kidnapped by a load of dodgy blokes in a van and led on a wild-goose chase. What I want to know is: Why did they kidnap Scott? Were they goodies or baddies? Is Scott a goody or a baddy? What was the specific 'crime' which Scatt was being punished for, and what is the connection between him and the dodgy blokes?

OK, here are the answers... "They" are the Dingles, and the kidnapped Scott because he is working for their enemy Zoe Tate and caused two of the Dingle clan "Sam" and "Zak" to lose their jobs on the bins. The Dingles are classed as "baddies" but are likeable and have many friends/allies in the village. Scott is classed as a "baddie" in a sense because he's working for a local disliked character Zoe Tate, and is generally disliked himself by locals. Scott wasn't being punished for a crime as such, I suppose it was a "crime" against the Dingle's own law that he crossed them! OK, I think everything has been explained! Hope that helps...
