HP Packard Pavillion ZE 4800
When I switch on laptop screen says 'error detected' and gives three options but none works and laptop switches off again. Anyone got a clue?

well it would help if you gave us the 3 options it gave you only thing i can think of is go to the bios settings choose to boot from cd and use an xp repair disk like t-rex or even boot from your copy of xp these errors you speak of which i have no clue to what they are could be a driver problem perhaps a boot problem or even a hard drive failure when you write back try to be a bit more specific and we should have you up and running again
