Were there any lifts in the twin towers that went from the bottom all the way to the top. My wife thinks that there were not, and you had to change to another lift when you got halfway up, and I think there were lits going all the way to the top.

You are both correct. There were 2 'staging' levels and some elevators went all the way up. Heres a schematic

I went up in the express lift, no stops or changing, glad I picked the right day for it!
