In the first scene in the department of records, when the workers start watching the film on the monitors, is the music for the film the music from a Monty Python film? and if so was it taken from another film?

not sure but...Terry Gilliam directed Brazil and he did the animations that appeared in the Monty Python shows. Dont know if this helps you ............
