Did anyone watch this last night.... One word AMAZING.
Penguins are the most Fantastic creatures the ones at the beginning made me giggle. The polar Bear swimming in the sea was an awesome. but how sad when he lay down after the Walrus attack.
Does anyone know if the Polar Bear at the end that was looking at the window shot and killed,m or did they manage to scare him away for good.

Can't wait till next week.

Give everyone involved a BAFTA.

The photography alone was amazing - there was one shot where the camera panned up the body of an Emporer penguin and as it got to the head, coincidentally, the penguin looked to the sky....it looked as if it had been choreographed.

Sir David and his crew rock.
Great programme. The camera work involved was outstanding.
Absolutely superb.
Surely they wouldn't have shot and killed any animal, would they ? I wouldn't have thought that was thier way.

The photography was just amazing and even more appreciated when you saw the diaries at the end and could see what they were up against. I must say I was very saddened by the sight of the exausted polarbear, it was brilliant watching him swim, but so very sad to see him lay down to die, it must be heart wrenching for the team to see that kind of thing.

Wasn't that bit lovely when the lady saved the penguin chick from the icy hole he was stuck in , but even more lovely when the mummy penguin waited paitently and took it back, she must have known it wasn't in any danger from the human and was being saved.
It was incredibly sad seeing the Polar Bear having to give up and wait for an agonising death from starvation and exhaustion.
Even sadder when you realise it's all the fault of man with our greed for oil and gas. Pollution that assists global warming and ruins the animal habitats and eventually kills them.

Well done Planet Earth for emphasising this last night.
Funniest moment was when all the mother penguins were after the baby who was orphaned.

My partner looked up and said, "Better be quiet or Madonna will be after him as well".

Then the commentary said that the orphan actually got suffocated...so it wasn't so funny after all.
An amazing show, the best thing on tv.
How proud must the crew be to deliver something of such high standard.
My work mate said about the polar at the end but I dont think they would have killed it, they might have killed it IF it was actual attacking them.
Rock on next week :)
watched it again on bbc2 last night-its so good
