Anyone know if this reality show will be back on Ch 5? I know I'm sad, but cannot get BBC or ITV so have to rely on Ch 5, and I do get so engrossed and enraged, really get carried away with it all.

In fact I'm hoping to do so again next month, only it's suddenly dawned on me that Virgin haven't sent me my tickets despite me booking them last October. Time for a phone call I think.
strange... I keep hearing distant disco music and seeing a glitterball flashing somewhere nearby

Ha ha Robi, am sitting in a cafe and chortling at your cleavage
hmph, they have agreed that I did indeed book some flights (this is to use up our airmiles) and they will send me a confirmation email in the next 48 hours. Obviously expecting postal delays. Key West here I come!

Hang on, must book a car first, it's a long way to walk, even now Virgin have kindly agreed to get me to Miami. Alligators and panthers and things too.
Hi,

I feel more upbeat today. It's 'cos life is returning to normal. I don't like the run up to Christmas or the rundown afterwards. I preferred it when Christmas was just two days and then life was normal again.

Aligators and Panthers sounds good to me - well the panthers do. More dubious about meeting an aligator. I love all the big cats - have ambitions to cuddle one before I peg it. In fact if I cuddled one I would probably peg it at the same time!!

Neti sofas stay clean because of clever arrangement of throws draped over vulnerable places!! The arm in the picture doesn't get rested on very often -the arm the other end of sofa does!! Same with the other sofa. I don't intend to buy more sofas in my lifetime - I don't get new ones every Christmas - much as DFS would like me to!!

Am off shopping shortly (don't need much) and to the Post Office (hopefully no queues)

Belated happy anniversary Shaney. It's our 40th next Tuesday. We have never celebrated anniversaries though. Perhaps I will get a ruby ring this year!! (he he). I still haven't had an engagement ring!! But then I never got engaged.

What a warm Christmas time it has been. It's going to be a complete shock when it eventually turns cold. Went out with just a lightweight jacket on Wednesday and no thermals!!

See you later

Hmmmph - the sun has decided to hide now I am going out!!

Just done battle with local internet shop where they (yet again) bgrd my router, so down I went demanding in my strange spanish that they lock it as all the world has access to it at the mo! "Pay?!" said in "A Handbag" voice, nay it's your fault quoth I and so they did it and yet. Went for a long walk and am a right swetineti at mo:

Key West jno, I loved it. Denim and Suzy had a flat there, and said we could use it but we only stayed the day (yep long drive just for that) but lovely. do go to Hemmingway's House which was the point of us going. Cats there have 6 toes on each front paw.

*...and yet?" what??
Good afternoon Everybiddy. Been to my son's and his gf was there and I thought he was going to see her but apparently they have come over here with a Parking Permit they borrowed and have to take it back today. They are going to one of his neighbours tomorrow night to a party.
My nose hasn't bled again since so I think it was just a blip.
Lovely pictures Lottie and Woofy. I keeo thinking about having a little dog but always end up saying to myself that is wouldn't be fair on one as I go out a lot.
I've had my lunch and now have a pile of pots so I''m of to tidy up then I'm going to make an effort to study my new camera that Steady bought me.
By the way I eventually got that cupboard sorted in my kitchen 2 days later :o)
Laters gaters
alligators do have drawbacks around the house

jno, will you be going on the Tamiami Trail, it's strange, but I think we were on the wrong road, as we passed a penitentiary, and warnings of panthers, so we turned back as it was very lonely and scary!
Lottie I am so glad you are feeling better. Pain is just mizzog. Neti, is the iPhone working or are you on your old one? Robi sounds better too! Lottie our 3 piece has removable washable covers otherwise the filth police would be round on a weekly basis!! Your family look very cosy, is the red throw especially for christmas?
We just went shopping in town, well lidl actually to stock up on their olive oil which is 2.67 a bottle and very very good, they we got the boys a burger.
back later....hello Jno, Jude, and Shaney
<waves to woofy>

I have been thinking of going out to the sales, but there's actually nothing I want, or have room for, so never mind.

neti, I've been past penitentiaries - there are big signs on the roads sayin "Do not pick up hitchhikers!" - but I'm not sure about Florida, I last went there about 15 years ago (we stopped at a library so jno jnr could email homework back to school - there are always library computers set aside for students). I remember Hemingway's cats, though. Maybe they are descended from Anne Boleyn, she was supposed to have had extra digits.
When we lived in New Jersey, the rubbish and recycling facility was run by prisoners. There was no rubbish collection, you put your rubbish and recycling in the back of your car and drove around the dump in a circle with the boot or back open. as you went past glass, paper rubbish, the prisoners at the dumpsters would pick the stuff out of the car and put it in the bin. the first time I did it, i got out to help and was told nicely by a prisoner "Ma'am you don't do that" The guards who were with them were armed with rifles but I think they only let the trusted prisoners work there.
In Durban 30 years ago, prisoners were put to work as well. The dangerous ones were used in the docks as there was no way out!
Woofy, the red throws are permanent on my two sofas - I am a red person all year round!!

Back from shops and anyone would think it was pre Christmas again - glad to be home.
Hello chums
Ooh it all sounds very exciting Jno ....I think I'd pass on the alligators though !
Not much doing here ,bit of dull day .Few bright spots of sunshine though.
Done all my washing for the New Year and put away. My old Mum always said never have wet washing hanging about over NY and never do washing on New Years day .Why, is a mystery but I do it just the same .
I tidied up the chest of drawers were I keep my smalls and nightwear and was missing a nightshirt ...spent about an hour looking for it .Found it in amongst Mr'S's t shirts eventually .
Well you have to keep busy :)
Hope everyone is well .Bit achey myself .Hippy Hippy ache .
Be good ..see you later xx
Ooooh I could spit .Just been reading that Blue Badge post .
I used to have one when we lived in London but the council here refused to renew it .Apparently they have xray eyes and I don't look riddled with arthritis .
I slog, literally, around the supermarket and am fit for nothing by the time I get home .I rarely go far and if I do I have to dope myself up first. And then a poorly husband to care for ....spit spit and double spit .
Shaney did you appeal over the badge? I am a great believer in fighting city hall, maybe supporting letters from your GP and consultant?
In January 2012 the application form is being standardised and will be through direct.gov, it looks like norfolk are at the hard end of the application spectrum, so might be worth trying again in January via the national site?
