why is there no junction 13 on the M56?

Hi blooto - they were probably going to put in a junction for a trading estate (for instance) which was never built... or perhaps the good residents of Frodsham and Helsby protested loudly enough about possible through traffic. Try asking The Highways Agency - contact details at www.highways.gov.uk - they had the answer to a question I'd posed here without success.
It was stolen, and police never managed to retrieve it. It's widely believed that it was broken up and turned into a series of small roundabouts in Swindon.
