Can anyone tell me what happened to Dez the scouce copper in the Bill? I thought he was killed in a car fire, but someone told me he escaped. If this is true will he be back?

he may have escaped the car fire but was then badly beaten up and did not recover from his injuries.pity really as reg and him were a good double act
