Anybody remember Twizel(Twizzle)?

I remember as a boy in the late 50's early 60's a childrens program about a character called Twizel/Twizzle (not sure of the spelling). The only thing I can remember about him is that he could extend his legs to great lengths, eg, sit on a windowsill and extend his legs to the ground, stand up and retract them, thus getting to the ground! Is my memory failing or playing tricks on me, or does anybody else remember this? If so, do you know where I might find some information about it? Thanks in advance.

I just had to dial 1-2-3 and I think it probably is. How do people find such things out?- it's not you, is it?
I should point out Mikeyd2 that Twizzle was the creation of Roberta Leigh, not Gerry Anderson.
Roberta approached Anderson and his business partner Arthur Provis to make the shows for her.
The only known episode of Twizzle is on the DVD box set for Roberta Leigh's other series "Space Patrol".
naz-nomad, Brian Cobby used was the third voice of the speaking clock ( when it was sponcered by Accurist ), and as you say, provided the countdown at the start of each episode of Thunderbirds.
Oh I did enjoy that site you gave us about Gerry I remember them very well. many thanks. Do you remember Picture Book, on a monday I think.
lilacben, I don't recal picture book. I was born in 1965. I recall Twizzle and Torchy the battery boy as obvious repeats. The woodentops, the desert crusader, Robinson Crusoe, Banana Splits, Casey Jones, Ali Bongo's magic circus and Mary, Mungo & Midge. Ah those halcyon days of childhood.
mortartube sorry but I was born in 1950 so it would have been in the middle 50's onwards. rad tag and bobtail, picture book, muffin the mule, wooden tops, andy pandy. oh all the good ones.!
