I have heard that the home sellers pack required specially trained people to prepare it and that training was received. Where and how do you get trained and how much will it cost. what qualification do you get at the end of it.

havent the goverment decided to shelve this idea anyway?
There was a newspaper article yesterday featuring a man who was unhappy that he'd spent ~9,600 on a training course as a home inspector, and felt it might now be wasted.
As others have indicated, the government have announced that they're scrapping the Home Information Packs. (For further information, head to your local library and ask to see Wednesday's edition of The Times; there's an in-depth summary of the reasons behind the decision).

Training agencies were charging many thousands of pounds for pre-registration training and hundreds of people have spent money on these courses. Their money is now wasted. There won't be any HIPs, so there will be no more training but the decision has come too late for many people.

You can find out what the training involves here. The BRE (Buildings Research Establishment) is just one of many places that will be offering this training. It answers most if not all of your questions. http://www.bre.co.uk/homeinspector/section.jsp ?sid=504
Don't bother, the whole idea has been shelved!
Oh, another one of John Boy's expensive mess-ups, then.
