Can anybody help? I am quite desperate to track down a TV programme. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the programme or when it was shown. All I can tell you is that it was shown late at night and I'm fairly sure it was on ITV or Channel 4, not BBC and definitely not C5. It featured a true story about a murder or murders committed in a snowy area of probably the US or Canada. A body or bodies were found in snow with some curious marks around them and no footprints. The police finally concluded that the murderer was possibly wearing stilts and could've been involved in some sort of carnival or fair passing through.
I have tried numerous online searches and contacted ITV and the Radio Times to no avail...I am in despair! I just need to find out either the name of the programme or any further info about the crime so I can do some more research. If anyone can help me at all I would be eternally grateful

Good to know I'm not the only lost soul on the quest! Sadly, I have no good news at the moment but after posting my question I left the UK and am staying in Canada for a few months so I may be able to find out more soon - fingers crossed. I will keep you posted...Keep the faith, comrade!

Hi again from the wilds of Canada but still no sign of my quarry! Stiltman is hiding in a very big haystack!!! However, I am not going to give up easily...not only would this make a great movie, but the search to find the story is turning into a movie within itself!!! Sorry you had no luck with Google. My searches have proved fruitless also but I'm going to try some newspaper archives. Catch you later...

Canada calling...I have subscribed to the newspaper archive but no luck so far...unfortunately they have no British Columbia newspapers and BC looks to be a good candidate for the right area. I'll keep trying though! In the meantime, if you turn up anything you can also email me at [email protected]. Maybe Stiltman will send an email too if he's still reading this!! Maybe we should offer to co-write his biography! Either that, or turn him in for some reward money... Happy hunting!
LOL, yeah i don't think stilt-man really wants us digging into this amazing crime that he got away with. he seems to have covered his tracks well too! anyway, i've not found anything else which is strange. not a sausage. i'd have thought the story would have featured in a book somewhere. it must be hard for stilt-man - the guy comits the most audacious crime the world has ever seen and somehow gets away with it only for no-one to care a hoot!!! so stiltman - if you are out there drop me line on robo_creeler at yahoo dot com.

anyway, the thougth occured to me that you, evek, might actually be stilt-man? ;-)

Hello again...Had a message from Stiltman saying he tried to send you a taunting email with no luck as he couldn't get through to your address...in the meantime, I'm back from Canada with no further news of his whereabouts or identity but I did hear a close friend of his is now using a gmail address. I believe it's [email protected] it a whirl if you're still on the trail...
