I have just watched a TV programme where the chef made a pasta sauce using beautifilly cubed vegetables. Having no time myself to stand and cut such perfectly cubed vegetables, does anyone know if there is a gadget which I could use?

I think this is a pretty hopeless request. Last year a gentlemean by the name of Gordon Todd appeared on a Channel 4 programme called Come Dine with Me, and he usd a pastry boat making machine. Has anyone ever used one, and where might I find one?

Many thanks for any help from anyone out there.

There must be others out there, and cheaper, but this one is really cute!

Hi Pressgang 1

Thank you so much for this information. The site you sent me was excellent. I've also sent the information to my daughter who, like you, is a veggie, and I know will appreciate anything which makes life easier.

Thank you again for your very helpful suggestion.

Just to let you know they sell a much cheaper (but far less pretty) version in places like woolworths for around 5. I find it invaluable for onions

We have lost three Woolworth stores in three out of the four local towns, but one has recently opened in the fourth town, so I shall pop in next week and investigate.

Thank you very much for letting me know .

The shape is not important but you could just by frozen veg from your local supermarket. It is frozen within a few hours of picking and is often "fresher" than the so called "fresh" veg on the shelves which might be weeks old.
the pastry boat maker can be found at www.lakeland.co.uk
and is 19.99. you just put a ball of pastry on and press , and it shapes and cooks in 3 mins

Thank you so much Tingly. I'd given up all hope of finding such a gadget. You must have a phenomenal memory to have remembered I was looking for the cutter pastry boat gadget...or was it pure luck? Anyway, I'm very grateful to you for coming back to me, and we actually have a Lakeland in Lincoln, so the next time I go there, I shall call in.
