I watched this last night as well and I agree it was very strange seeing "Veronica" playing Myra, I actually thought the whole programme was a bit weird, couldn't quite get what was supposed to be going on!

oh really? oh dear, i didn't know she had a sister, before watching it last night, well to be honest, i knew very little about it all as it was waaaaaaaaay before i was born but i've always wondered

i have a great interest in this subject so i was really looking forward to seeing this. I agree about the wonderful actress Maxine Peake though! I thought at some points that they were trying to make her out to be innocent and just doing exactly what he told her, like when she was complaining to her mum about him at the table. However, when the murder of Edward Evans took place, it did show the pleasure in her eyes and a smirk on her face. Pure evil the both. I think everyone should know about this evil pair of murderers.

the guy who watched them kill Edward and he then ran back to his wife(the brother in law i think) is still alive,and says it still haunts him to this day.

Hi kazzianne, he was hounded by the public for years making his life a misery, even though for the fact that if it hadn't been for him, they wouldn't have been caught when they were. he was just a petty criminal but Brady thought he could prime him, why, im not entirely sure.I think he lives somewhere like Devon or cornwall now, not certain though.

i think maxine is brill and did a great job, looks just like her-blonde hair n that.the story centred on them rather than the murders. didnt know ian brady was scottish,the accent made him more creepy. second part on tonight.

yeah it was pretty creepy. i didnt get it at the start ( even though i had read quite about into the case). the man creeped me out the most!

How eerie and creepy was the end with just silence as they showed them poor children. I was also angry that the sister died never knowing that Myra admitted to killing the other children. How sad.

i have read about this case over and over again but i still cried for those children at the end. It was extremely sensitively handled.All praise to the actors and makers of this excellent drama!
