I have quite a few at the moment Smudge including the two you have already mentioned. Usually there is not much on television that is of interest to me but lately there have been some good programmes.
I like
University Challenge
Mastermind.
Timewatch
Question Time
Antiques Roadshow.
Two series which I am following at the moment are
A Passion for Churches and the one about Boscastle.I am also following The Virgin Queen and Life on Mars.
Plus any murder mystery and I am glued!!
Just really enjoyed Foyles War and am looking forward to Lewis on Sunday.
Also there is another good series at the moment about the Royal Palaces.Occasionally I watch wildlife and gardening programmes depending on the subject matter.

nothing on TV at the moment, apart from Hyperdrive, but if we are talking fave of all time, it very difficult to name only 2: -

1) Spaced

2) The Office

3) Only fools and horses

4) friends

In that order

I have just reread your post Smudge and realised you asked for TWO programmes. What I said in the other thread about the men in white coats may yet become a reality !!

Sorry, too difficult to limit to 2

Channel 4 News

QI (Steven Fry)

Have I got News for You

Never Mind the *********

Question Time

Who do you think you are?

and, wait for it................Corrie!!!!!

(Oh, and I love watching Millionaire and generally get quite a lot of money, but if I entered I would be completely dumbstruck)

BuzzC0cks
At the moment, The Thick of It and Shameless.

QI

Anything to do with gardening. Is anyone watching Christine's garden? Very quaint and funny.

I am quite taken with Hotel Babylon actually, I like the wacky feel about it. I am disapointed in Bones, and the script is so hard to follow, David Boreanez still looks good though. I love the re runs on Paramount of all the old stuff, like Cheers and King of Queens.

And Judge John Deed of course.

If we are limiting it to 2, and to current shows:

  • Battlestar Galactica (new version!)

  • Lost

spaced & Shaneystar - Perhaps I shouldn't have put a limit, as I've thought about all the other programmes I like too - wait for it:

  • Antiques Road Show

  • Mastermind (Snr & Jnr)

  • Question Time

  • Archeology

  • Royal Family (Archives)

  • Fred Dibner (RIP)

  • WW1 & WW2

  • Upstairs/Downstairs

  • The House of Elliott

  • 10 Years Younger!

  • Judge Judy (if I'm really bored).

I also like to watch the Catherine Cookson type plays/films on cable, etc.

Oh & Millionaire too!

Sorry to bring American Programmes into the mix but

1) The West Wing

2)Without A Trace

Shameless and Malcolm in the middle
University Challenge and Youve Been Framed - from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Question Author

Aaaagggg - not forgetting Countdown too!

Question Author
When I was posting to spaced & shaneystar, I got interrupted - came back, carried on typing, not realising there were other posts - so thank you all, it applies to you too.
Question Author

....And some Gardening programmes, although I haven't watched Christine's Garden - which channel is it on Robinia?

Oh, and MrG and I always watch that Saturday Morning Kitchen programme with Anthony Worral Thompson.

Now this is a real admission for which I am ashamed. I watch the Hollyoaks Omnibus Edition on Sunday mornings, usually whilst ironing or doing other jobs. (hangs head in shame)

The Sopranos and The Simpsons
It's beeb 2 tonight smudge about 8 oclock.
