If I have Sky TV & still have 6 months left on my contract, so, how does it work if I move house? Do I take my dish with me? Do I get charged anything extra? Do I just continue my exisiting contract in my new house or do I have to start up a new one?

You can take your dish with you when you move house. I had Sky TV in one location for years. I then moved house and obviously wanted to take the Sky with me. I notified Sky what I was going to do and told them of the new address and phone number and when I was going to move it. As far as I know I still have the same account. However, unlike you I was not tied into the 12-month contract as I'd had mine for more than 12 months. You will need to check this out with them. Also ask them if it will affect warranty or anything as well. Sky will not move the dish and equipment for you, I had to pay an independent guy to come and do it for me.
