pride by u2 or any beatle song

I love the beatles, hey jude used to be my fave until Paul McCartney spoiled it singing it at Glasto and Live 8. I always prefered B sides. I like Yes It Is and That Boy. I cant say I've heard of U2's pride but because you recommended it first it will go on my album.
Rock Ballads.... REO Speedwagon would be a good bet. Keep on Loving You in particular.

Spot on, you read me like a book, unfortunately I already got their songs Keep on loving you and Cant fight this feeling. Keep em coming. :-)
This is an obscure track, but if you can find it I think you'll dig it. 'What Love Can Be' by Kingdom Come. Very Led Zep-esque and a real 80s power ballad extravaganza! Very mellow, very bluesy, very heavy, very high vocals, the lot!
'The River' by Bruce Springsteen, an absolute classic.
how about locomotive breath by jethro tull

Well I have used the space now, but taken down all suggestions for next album, just hope they're all good. Any more would be brilliant.
Here's another great tune, much underplayed. 'In a Broken Dream' by Python Lee Jackson, featuring an uncredited vocal by Rod Stewart. I hate Rod Stewart but this song is utter class! I always stick it on compilations and it always gets people's attention. And I mean that in a positive way!

Well Diso Stu am gonna put that one on too, it better be good as I hate Rod Stewart too. His voice grates on me.

Er, well, you see, it's his voice that makes this song! But i agree with you completely cos I hate his whiney tonsils too. But this song has a similar majesty to Joe Cocker's 'With a Little Help From My Friends'. Oh, there's another one you could add!

Download the Python Lee Jackson song, give it a listen, but don't blame me... ;)
