Well who would have thought that Boy George was gonna be Gorgeous George.

O how Tony Blair is gonna be cr''pping himself at George getting primetime TV coverage (when he doesnt as PM).He will be in tears at the potential slating he will get.

O how I laughed - a master stroke by George even if you dont agree with his ethos.

Quite a good mix - does anyone else think people in the audience were well vetted for the master milker of the crowd MB.Pathetic specimen or is that just me?

Freak le Freak! However I am in love for the first time today with Preston, he is immaculate!

I was surprised at Barrymore's reception from the crowd, that's for sure.

I was disappointed with the people in the house - although am not surprised one bit that I have never heard of over half of them!

You have to remember that it's still panto season so a lot of Britain's Z-listers are unavailable.

Dot - he is the next Kenzie. What a cutie.

Bet we all get hooked in spite of ourselves.

I am scottish and george galloway has always given me the creeps but he has come across well so far. I think it was pure genius to put in a non-celebrity - big brother does it again - expect the unexpected. she seems to have hit it off well with dennis - but had to laugh as he said to her that big brother asked him in the diary room who he had bonded with and he said a blonde girl from brisbane called Champagne - she laughed her head off and told im she was from Essex (like he'd know where that was) and that her name was Chantelle. Is it just me or do Jodie Marsh and Traci Bigham look a bit alike with Jody's dark sunbed skin

dot I saw him first. He is an utter babe; I also liked him speaking up against those people being nutty and crazy on tv. Barrymore milked the crowd for all they were worth - was lucky they did not begin to boo him.

Aurelia I was watching the live streaming and George was on there, droning. I was prepared to give him a listen until he said that BB watchers are the non-voting public who need to know how to vote and who for. Conceited a***hole.

I personally think that its a pants selection of "celebs". THe only decent ones are Barrymore and Rula. Jodie Marsh??? Ewww, keep away from her or they might catch something from that skank!

Why put yanks in it that no nothing about our celebs and vice versa???

Double yawn

spin chump -do you just go through sites and leave silly messages?

I think we are all aware of the fact that they are z-listers etc but I just love the fact they take themselves so seriously and I will be sitting at home like a big fool watching it.I know - I'm a saddo ;)

The fact that only one other person in the house knew who George Galloway was, is a fantastic illustration (and indictment) as to how self-absorbed and vacuous most celebrities are.
How can society in general support the notion that being famous and a celebrity makes them better than the rest of us mere mortals?
Is being a celebrity really something that people should admire, respect and aspire to?
I hope not, not when (some of them) are so clearly, incredibly, dense?

The fireworks in the house should be fun anyhow.
I hope they roll in Oona King as a surprise contestant, or better still Senator Coleman!

Stevie - now that would be fun (last sentence).

He has started already and his comments have just gone woosh over their heads but I caught them.

GG has, in my humble opinion ,the best command and subtle manipulation of the English language I have ever had the delight to hear.Doesnt matter whether anyone agrees with his politics - he has used this opportunity to its full advantage - clever man.Nothing to do with fees after all 'he was gifted oil from Iraq':)

That is the reason I want to watch those dimwits - and I agree with a couple of exceptions-becoming more vacant.Just love it.

I thought the definition of celebrity was someone who was recognised by most of the general public

The fact is only Barrymore could probably pass this test,it should be called "Barrymores House Party".

Which is something you don't want an invite to!!

mighty WBA - o dear !!

Was hoping people would have a go at MB but would leave the family to RIP at a difficult time.Hey Ho you are the second to mention what we all know and try to make light of it.

There is just no accounting for common decency.

What a Farce!

MB made a career out of humiliating his audiences. I watched his entrance in the hope that the tables would be turned, but the audience outside, like Drisgirl said, were so well vetted or worked for channel 4, as I never even heard one boo! or shout from the back. I even saw a banner saying "I'm here 4 Barrymore".

I hope he stays locked away in the BB house for the full 3 weeks; but I doubt he can keep the act going for that long and expect to see a fully re-inflated M.Barrymore ego popping up on another C4 programme very soon.

Heaven help us all !!
