I think the vaccine has been available for years, so presumably safe.

Chickenpox vaccine is safe and effective at preventing chickenpox. Vaccines, like any medicine, can have side effects. The most common side effects are usually mild and go away on their own.

so it looks like a yes

Olds should get the zoster vaccine

well that is settled. Now we can get back to the really important stuff ( no not Gaza silly, and those stupid babies who insist in lying in buildings that are going to be bombed to smithereens) like should I use paprika or jalapeno ( or napalm for the coconut oil)

this post is partly satirical

Chicken pox, like measles, can cause serious side effects and even death. Encephalitis and group B strep being 2. Rubella or German measles can cause problems for infants if their mother gets this during early pregnancy. These vaccines have been around for many years and are considered safe for most.Parents of children  with eczema and severe allergies should follow the advice of their doctor. 3 generations, 50 people, in my close family have all been vaccinated with no ill effects
