There is no cd player in radio of car.  I asked dealer and he said that from 2017 to 2018.  CDs have been omitted because streaming can be done via USB and aux which I don't have a baldy.  I think I can buy a little CD player but I guess it would need usb whatever ports. I have seen them for Fourteen pounds.  I do like the CD player.  Would this be ok

BUMP

I think it depends on the make of the car - my husbands car is 2 years old and has a CD player and streaming service built in.

Maybe read this - is it really worth it - you have said you don't actually drive much so is the extra expense value for money?

rip your CDs to a music folder on a USB drive then plug that in.

That's exactly what I did, TTT.  I have a selection of USB drives loaded with music.

It's easy - when you know how, and I'm not sure JJ does

No JJ doesn't know

Maybe someone can give jj a simple explanation of how to do this

Don't worry about it JJ.  I'm just like you with technical issues.  Fortunately I have a son who's a whiz kid with any type of tech, mechanics and electronics.  He thinks im an idiot!!  He's probably right! :0))

Many years ago. Just after leaving work. I knew how to do it and burnt about 15 CDs with all my favourite singers and music but i wouldn't now

JJ, has your pc got a cd drive?

Question Author

I was just thinking of wee basic cd player and sticking it into right port which is at bottom radio

Yes bar. But since repairs are different. I would be afraid of knocking things outta whack footering and meddling

Go to Halfords on Boucher road - it will cost you a bit more but I am sure they will help you out with a CD player

If I lived near you I'd try and sort it out for you, JJ.

If you insert your USB thumbdrive then do what the video says but before you rip set the target to the USB drive in "rip settings" - he covers that in the video.

Barry - I do live near Jenny but I think she likes to do things herself

But she does pay people to sort her tech stuff out.  I wouldn't accept payment, before anyone gets the wrong idea

I have a USB adapter which goes in cig lighter.

My 14 year old Hyundai has USB ports, I'm fairly sue JJs has USB ports too
