That’s interesting gness. I wish that years ago I had gone to live in another country, I probably didn’t have the confidence then. But my husband wouldn’t have gone anyway. It’s too late now, so there we go. When I see all these countries on TV I always think they look nice.
I lived between England and Ireland and had no desire to live elsewhere. My husband’s company asked him to work in Calgary for three years. It was a wonderful experience. So glad we had that opportunity and everything we got from it.
Made some wonderful friends too.
He was asked to remain which he may have done but it was too far from Ireland where I now live permanently and I wanted to come home.
Canada was a great place for young people to grow up in.
we were up in the Rockies in April thinking winter would be over, but no, still blizzarding. But we were able to sit in a hot tub on the hotel roof with snow falling on us, and go for a sleigh ride across a frozen lake, pulled by reindeer.
No link, so i posted my own.
After reading all the comments i thought it was just another travel show! It isn't!
I'm sure I'll be able to watch 1or 2 of the shows on YouTube.
The first series they travelled overland from the UK to Singapore, and the second series was all the way down through South America.
Just crossing Canada seems a bit tame in comparison
